Shana Rishona plus 16
A while ago, somebody did a post about this cute newlywed couple they were watching in the supermarket. You know, probably still in or just past Sheva Brachot, wandering around, trying to figure out which package of cheese to buy, do they really need peanut butter, splurging on two flavors of ice cream.
Well, tonight hubby and I went shopping together. Usually, I do groceries in the mornings, but he thought I needed to get out (he was right) and he had picture to pick up at the Superstore, so there we were. Wandering in search of the soy milk he likes (they don't have it? no, wait; it's organic; so it must be all the way up front rather than all the way back here with the regular milk), trying to figure out how much ground beef I can use between now and Pesach(at $2 a pound I can't afford to pass it up). (Answer: 3lbs per week x 6 weeks - the hamburgers already in the freezer + meatballs for the Purim Seuda to which he has invited his Grade 10 Extreme Talmud class). Splurging on the case of wipes because it comes with a tub in addition to the six refill packs. Smelling unopened soap packages to find the "flavor" I like. Arguing with the cashier about the cereal (the sign said $2.79, the scanner said $5.29, I got it free). Buying 4 bowls of tehina because it motivates the youngest kid to eat carrots. (It was also on sale, $2 instead of $3.29) Hubby marveling at the fact that I not only know where each thing is, but how much it costs here, and at two other stores. Stopping on the way home for a Slurpee big enough to share with the kids who were babysitting their siblings.
What do you think? Are we still cute?

Been there, done that.
Recently, the hubster went food shopping. He called me from the supermarket, complaining that he couldn't find several of the items on the shopping list. I literally "walked" him through the aisles by cell phone, because *I* knew far better than he did where to locate the sought items. In the end, he was able to find almost everything on the shopping list.
Tues, very cute indeed.
